Players impacted by COVID are capable of being tagged as "COVID-IR" in FFFO.
To be "impacted by COVID"... includes:
Player is unable to participate in games AND one of the the following...
Player has the virus
Player is under quarantine due to teammate or staff member having the virus
Game for week is cancelled due to COVID related causes (e.g. opponent has outbreak)
Player is no longer eligible once they return to football activities (e.g. join their team for meetings/practice) with intent to play in next available game.
When a player is on COVID-IR... all rules associated with regular IR apply (e.g. cap space is made available)
COVID-IR players do not count toward you max roster size.
When a player is no longer COVID-IR eligible, you may not acquire any new players until your roster is compliant.
Players acquired to fill roster position vacated by COVID-IR players have the same rules around contracts and termination penalties.
Where possible, ESPN's IR eligibility will be used as an indicator of COVID-IR eligibility
