USB VBUS Capacitance too high (rev 1) #44

On the V1 breakout board, C2 is specified as 100uF. USB2.0 requires at least 1uF and no more than 10uF directly connected to VBUS. Maybe consider replacing C2 with 1.0uF - 4.7uF. Also since the USB connector is a plain B type - consider removing the VBUS switch hardware (IC2) entirely.

Hi,

I have had some really bizzare issues with my breakout board... the LED kept flashing, then dimming, then eventually died. When I checked the grounds with the multimeter they don't seem to link, If I put the multimeter on the LED it lights up. So the LED is fine. Would this be because of what you are talking here? Can I take IC2 out entirely? Pin 1 of IC2 is also supposed to be ground, but again, it does not appear to be connected to the other grounds, maybe IC2 is blown. Thx man.
