Hi bhb27 first of all thanks alot for this driver, works great for me. I have an issue (or maybe not). My logcat is flooded by wifi messages. Example:

This continues, and covers all the log...is this normal? Can i avoid this in any way?

Thanks again

this is caf qcom wifi driver, this particularly branch is for apq8084 as is wrote on main page they sources on the below https://source.codeaurora.org/quic/la/platform/vendor/qcom-opensource/wlan/qcacld-2.0/tree/?h=LA.BF.2.1.2_rb1.16

the problem may be on the driver but also may be on the OS as all those logs are not coming from the driver but from the OS https://github.com/search?l=C&q=CTRL-DEBUG&type=Code&utf8=%E2%9C%93

I never see this type of error I build this only for apq8084 device "quark" a mobile phone in a android OS, you may need to look for the start of it all (the log from before you see this flood), as must have one thing breaking giving some warning or error before all of this when the driver starts, and go to the source of the OS you are building to try to find from were it originates so you can try to pinpoint from were this comes from and analyze it from there... may be need adaptations changes to the wifi driver or build flags or the OS to have a 100% working driver for the hardware you are on, try to find some one that has the same to cross check info...

If need more info or doubts let me know...

Thanks for your answer. I'm building LineageOS 13 for Razer Forge Tv (apq8084). The device it's a "twin" device with quark, with the same exactly specs. The only diference i see, i'm using the firmware binaries provided by Razer in the vendor tree, but doing a diff are the same files. The drivers works perfect with no issues, it's only a esthetic "issue"...This is when the message appears (first time):

I can't see nothing related there....

I will do some more thinking later I give you another answer (tomorrow or the day next)... on the mean time

have you check the kernel build flags? the one we use on Marshmallow was this https://github.com/bhb27/BHB27Kernel/blob/M/arch/arm/configs/quark_defconfig#L3785-L3799

you can use that M tree of my kernel to take a look maybe you find something that can help even if not with this problem to give some improve...

gabrielgagz commented 7 years ago

Thanks, i'll take a look. Your device tree for quark help me alot when building my device tree from scratch.
