Found a strange workaround Mounting NFS shared folders not working. Need a better one. #189

Closed d78ui98 closed 1 year ago

d78ui98 commented 6 years ago

Intro

I am using vagrant cachier plugin. It gets stuck at Mounting NFS shared folder when I do a vagrant up and displays an error message. If I do a vagrant up again It works.

I am looking for a better solution than this

other important details

tigerquoll commented 4 years ago

I've experienced similar problems. In my case Cisco VPN kernel modules were screwing things around. Once I'd use the VPN, shared folders would not work until I disabled the VPN and rebooted my machine.

d78ui98 commented 4 years ago

Disabling VPN and rebooting worked?

tigerquoll commented 4 years ago

yep, allowed the nfs mount to occur and the provisioning to continue.

Hey, sorry for the silence here but this project is looking for maintainers

As per https://github.com/fgrehm/vagrant-cachier/issues/193, I've added the ignored label and will close this issue. Thanks for the interest in the project and LMK if you want to step up and take ownership of this project on that other issue
