I've obviously tested this PR for my use-case, but I'm not that good with Ruby, so I'd be glad if someone can confirm that this actually works as expected before I start (ab)using my new superpowers :)

it worked fine for my tests last night, if something goes wrong over there fell free to open up a new issue ;)
