Elevator hard crash every time HL1 #25

the game plays very well except when i make it to the elevator it hard crashes.

Which elevator? What version of the game are you using (Steam, CD, etc)? Are you using the HD pack?

Can you run the game in debug mode (press TRIANGLE in the mod selector) and attach the resulting log file (ux0:/data/xash3d/engine.log)? If the crash produces a crashdump (should be in ux0:/data/), can you also attach that?

Its in the relative beginning of the game, its an actual elevator, after the open air lift with the head crabs coming down the lift. i am using the steam version of the game that i just recently downloaded from steam. i picked up your files from https://github.com/fgsfdsfgs/vitaXash3D/releases/tag/v1, and followed the instructions to a T. i don't know how to get to the mod menu. i will be happy to upload the logs later today if you want to tell me how to get to the mod menu. right now it has been creating dumps in ux0:data/psp2core-etc-eboot.bin.psp2dmp i can upload that for you when i go home and get my cable. A side note if i load my earlier saves it usually spawns me in the floor as well. i tried to load an earlier save to see if i could get it unstuck that way. if i run it in dev mode i get this across the screen: server(ai): Firing: (changetoc1a2) server(ai): Fond: trigger_changelevel, firing (changetoc1a2) server: change level c1a2 a1a2 got a velocity too low on monster_barney_dead

Oh. You downloaded Release 1, which is prone to crashes like this. Latest release is Release 3. Try using that instead. Keep in mind that R3 is not compatible with R1 saves.

completely removed the game and all the files, reinstalled. everything works great! thanks for your help again!
