[WRITING CODE] Adding content from previous branch #46

Somehow I made github angry, so I apologized and made a new branch to add the commits on a branch that had too many conflicts. These commits are from PR#36. I realize there is an easier way, but I am tired of angering github at the moment. It would be good to get reviews on the changes I made after Candace's comments, anyway.

The url issue is coming from the index.Rmd and stems (I think) from the fact I renamed this chapter "Writing Code" instead of "Writing and Debugging Code"
