Hey there and thanks so much it's guys like you that are going to catapult VR into the places it should have been already. I got this to work with GTA5 and trying multiple other titles but I can't seem to tell whether the sharpening works while in game. As well I'm not sure if the Luke Ross mod setting the resolution to 1080 by 1080 negates my superssampling or if I should be even supersampling at all in SteamVR with VRperfkit? I have GTA5 running great in VR though with my old trusty 1080ti no less and most everything on high. NIS seems to be the best for me. I've tried turning everything off but the foveated rendering and blasting the SS and that seems to work too.

If you’re on a Quest 2, change the PC app’s render resolution, and crank up your encode resolution width and bitrate. FSR works based on the resolution of your game’s output to the screen, and 0.8x is what I’d recommend if you just want a performance boost relative to your base resolution.

Also, GTAV has MSAA support. If you’re not using MSAA, drop the resolution by about 20% and crank that MSAA to 4x: it’ll make 3D elements look so. damn. good.

Thanks for the reply it’s been hard finding places to discuss the results/games/optimizations that the perfkit has to offer. You’d think people would be going nuts over this. I actually have an OG vive(well 2) and the fsr on .8 render seems to work well on GTA 5. I’ve tried low and higher sharpening didnt seem to help. Also cranked my S.S and then tried it at 80 percent with different variations of msaa and other in game options. Sometimes it was hard to say even with my fpsfor Vr counter. The NIS with .8 render, and maybe around 6 up scaling then the performance thingy set to disabled foveated rendering at .3, .6 , .9 with 2x msaa and txaa if I crank my SS does a nice job too. Same as the suggestion in readme pretty much along with Luke rosses too. So many games I have to test. Been filming all different settings compared to base settings and only have got through GtA 5 and Fallout 4 with only the fsr profile(looked amazing). Beat saber I’m still trying to find a happy place. Just need some people to converse with and who have tried other games!

Beat Saber is the kind of game where you can set your MSAA to 8X and supersample at 200% and most machines won’t even break a sweat at 90Hz.
