Sounds like a reasonable question, and one which deserves a response.
Checking the commit history of the past 3-4 months it seems that skybean didn't yet call Strato obsolete. However, in my opinion, one minor commit each month and (as a consequence?!) not updating the release channel for 3 months is a poor performance. And as @vojtechBohman pointed out correctly, Strato is still way behind the promised functionality you proposed to the early bird /pre-orders. I think in the meanwhile you adapted the description on the homepage?! I ordered the Strato with a pre-order as it seemed to be a promising concept and I only heard good reviews for the skydrop (which was also poor in functionality in the beginning I guess). However in the meanwhile I'm quite unsatisfied with the device and also thinking about reselling and switching to a competitor product...
It‘s the same outcome for me. We have seen nice Skybean activity flying but we are waiting for a commitment concerning the development of Strato.
Disappointing lack of response. I'll not be endorsing skybean products if they won't commit to the ongoing development of their products.
Had I known I would have probably opted for something else. Feeling misled!

Same here. We bought two stratos, only one is working. Sadly I recommended Skybean to other pilots just a few weeks ago, now I have a bad conscience. The approach is great and I'd love to support it, but only if the show goes on.
Is this the end of development? I want to read it here in public. If not, I want to see the development plan. If so, I want to remind you that not all of the advertised features work.
