Strato in-flight freeze after 1:50h flight time #56

Yesterday my Strato froze in-flight after 1:50h flight time. No reaction to any key pressing, vario tone beeped continuously with same tone. Reset (left+right button) was needed to restart the Strato. FW140 installed.

This is really annoying, since if this happens sporadically in future I cannot rely on the Strato as main device!

Same here, but it froze three times in a 40 minute flight.

It was beeping repeatedly without changing pitch, the user interface was shown but static/unresponsive.

I'm not so sure, I didn't press any button (at least not intentionally) during flight for almost 2hrs, this is different to #58 . It froze from one second to the other when entering another thermal after a short glide, then it got stuck at around 1.1m/s, beeping repeatedly without changing pitch/frequency anymore, screen was frozen. By the way @fhorinek, I was looking to enable the debug log, but didn't find it in FW140 anymore... was it removed? Would this help you next time in your analysis?

same: i used the vario for an hike today on the mountain in front of my OGN server for a radio test, the vario froze too just after the top when going down, no key pressed, i just switched it at the begin of the hike and that is all, it was in a pocket in the backpack (screen froze and bipped exactly the same (like a +0,2m/s) until i forced it to power off with both arrow keys)

and i hed the same during flight one week ago.

To enable debug menu, go to device info and click 6 times on the serial number.

The problem is with communicatio buffer and the failed assertion. I think that I have a solution for this

my strato froze also several times, after few minutes in the air.
