At the risk of adding to potential feature bloat, I've had it in mind for some time now that it would be nice for users to have a kind of personal blogging space where they can write about non-fictional type stuff. I've seen users write stories, especially after long absences, telling about little bits of their life goings-on, and I thought it might be neat to add a feature that would accommodate this sort of thing. I'm thinking it could be directly accessed from a user's Author page and incorporated somehow into the activity log in a way that followers would see a notification when a user writes something in this space. It's possible such a thing might be rendered moot once we put a forum in place, but I wanted to put the idea out there for discussion, at least. It's not something I've formed a solid opinion on, one way or the other, so I'm eager to hear your thoughts on it.

I don't see the value, personally. But I wouldn't complain over the presence of a feature.
