Thank you for your report, how many ram did you allocate to the game?
12288MB. I have 64G on the machine
There will be an update soon. I am not sure what is the problem because it seems like you are the only player having the issue. You can try updating the pack when the new update is out or try reinstalling the pack.
I turned off temperature for now in tough as nails, and it works fine. I tried reinstalling the pack (with the same save) and still had the crash every couple seconds after loading the world. I didn't start having the issue until I started using the cooling coil (was having major heating issues)
Hmmm, I am really not sure about the problem, I am in a singleplayer world testing with the coils and it works fine with me. Sorry, I will let you know if I find out the issue
I can send over the save if that would help, but I'll just try again when you post an update.
Can you send me the latest log? I am not sure if would help that much but worth a try
Not the crashlog, the latest log. In the log folder
oh, sorry. Here it is. https://gist.github.com/dlswimmer/5e87fbd4bf1e5744ed7765f5321cfaf2
Hmmm, I don't see anything weird there, its a save issue from what it looks so far
it seems like you are the only player having the issue.
Using Atomic Space 2.0.0a Release with the included ToughAsNails-1.12.2-3.1.0.139-universal.jar via MultiMC and no crash until I made/placed/activated the heating coil, shortly after it would crash to the main menu very quickly. I 1st tried updating tough as nails to ToughAsNails-1.12.2-3.1.0.141-universal to no avail. Setting the mod to not use player temperature solved the crash.
I will also toss in some other info that may be of help. 1st off I was at a 1/2 hear for most of the play. Scavenging on the permafrost or icy stone as the quest suggested didn't add any warmth at all. Found that it was FAR easier to craft the heating coil then it was to make the warm liners so I skipped ahead on that one. Earlier in the game I had made a bed and slept in it... It blew my base apart and most everything was lost, so instead of a fresh start I used the built in backup restore feature. Not sure if any of that is similar to dlswimmer's experience but there it is.
OK, here is a whole bunch of crash reports on this. crash-reports.zip
There is a tip about not using a bed I will make that as a quest, I will also look into the issue.
@Ozzymud I did indeed try to sleep on a bed and it blew up my base. However, I deleted that world and created a new one (same name) and the issue happens in that world after I started using the cooling coil.
I am sorry and I am already working on this issue.
No worries @W1nter-isHere , I'm glad we were able to get more info so others don't have this happen to them. I'm quite enjoying the pack so far.
Yea, thanks for reporting this issue so I get to know it
Ok, I looked into it a bit, its 90% a mod bug, and tough as nails has been abandoned, so I might replace it with a alternative mod.
Personally I am finding the pack still VERY enjoyable with the temperature feature disabled. Every pack it has ever been in I have not found it particularly enjoyable but more of an annoyance :)
That being said, I love a good bug hunt, @dlswimmer I am almost tempted to start another world and NOT use the backup just to see (It also uses the same world name).
I might do a community vote or something, see if people want to have a altarnative of TAN or disable temperature
Hey, are you guys using optifine?
@W1nter-isHere I actually don't use optifine. I did not modify the modpack at all.
Can you check just to make sure you don't have optifine in the mods folder?
Same, no optifine.
Just wanted to toss this out there, there is a remake of TAN here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/matthews-difficulty-mod I haven't looked at it but the author is a TAN addon dev and supposedly this mod has everything TAN had plus some extra stuff.
Yea, Ive been looking at alternatives
Update: Preliminary tests of Atomic+Space+2.0.1 are going well so far. Was able to place down the Heating Coil and activate it without a crash. Temperature seems to be working now as going near a fire is warming me. Scavenging Permafrost now works as well.
Sounds good! :D
I'll probably check myself tomorrow
I still crash when temperature is enabled with the newest update. To be fair, the pack is hard enough that I don't think the temperature really adds much, other than annoyance.
@dlswimmer The issue has been found, and someone made a patched version of the mod that fixed the issue, however the patched version is not on curseforge, I am not sure if I will be able to use it. I also contacted the TAN team about this, they told me to pull a request on their github but I honestly not sure how long is it going to take for them to do something about it.
This is probably fixed, there will be an update soon. I will close this for now, if there is more problem I will reopen this issue.
I get this crash quite often just walking around. Stopped playing for now because it is unplayable. Happens on a single player game, crashes to the main menu (not fully out of minecraft).
