Import Gentoo's ebuild changes #2

Take a look at the three sed scripts that happen at the end and get them pulled into this source.

Did 2 out of 3 changes. Not sure about importing the last one where the config file is locked down. It appears that gentoo uses the example config file (wise idea) and then should change the ownership and permissions. I see it is possible that the generate_config script could be modified to generate a more secure config. I'd wonder about the username for the config file and if I would be creating more hassle for other distributions.

The first two changes are on the gentoo_patches branch right now.
