Angular-acceptance scan for DARD parameters #105

Closed fiedl closed 6 years ago

Background

DARD = Data Aquisition for a flasheR DOM

Idea: Turn on the flasher board LEDs in sequence. The LED which results in the strongest signal points in the direction of the hole-ice column as light is scattered back from the column. [1]

The data is compared to a detailed DOM simulation using Geant4.

Best values

Best fit value using a fixed hole-ice column radius of r=30cm in the simulation: geometric scattering length = 10cm Source: [2], slide 4
