DISCUSSION POINTS: What should be removed or added to files going into EMu

DECISION:

  1. For Photo Archives: [insert logic here]
    • non-standard values in these image metadata fields will be stripped out of incoming Photo Archives multimedia:
    • EXIF tag name: “Artist” (tag id ), “Copyright” (tag id 0x8298)
    • XMP properties: “dc:rights”, “dc:creator”
    • IPTC headers:
      • “Copyright Notice” (Photoshop Name; IIM name = “2:116 Copyright Notice”)
      • “Author” (Photoshop Name; IIM name = “2:80 By-line”)
  2. Admin will explore recommendations for specific metadata values that facilitate batch imports/attachments of multimedia.
