better ways to notify/deliver output?

notify.py is currently meant to output-files (json &/or fixed xml, or error-log), or at least paths to them
Recipient email address is currently specified/hardcoded in this repo's .env file

Is there a better way? (e.g., it would help to ref EMu eschedule.Parameters_tab if AfterCommand includes '.*email' if possible)

output files (json + xml) and corresponding daily log (txt) are zipped together and attached to the notification email
email is sent from server using mutt (local testing-notifications between gmail accounts can use smtp if needed -- see notify.py)
