@deontologician are you on X11 or wayland?
Wayland, gnome 3 on an out of the box Fedora 27 installation
Getting "mouse trails" is just the beginning. I love the extension. Unfortunately it is unusable if you use the scaling of gnome (and I have to). Mouse trails and several other glitches. On my latest test I even started and stopped ??Help?? on each mouse move. It took me a while to track the error down to this extension.
I enabled the "experimental, fractional scaling" in wayland. When turning off scaling, everything is fine.
@ente76 I have the same, it's unusable :( I opened separate ticket for it, never tracked it down to fractional scaling setting. Have you found any workaround? Becuase I need fractional scaling, brightness adjustment and on top of that now lenovo thunderbolt dock started showing problems too I'm actually considering giving Linux Subsystem on Windows a try
I replied in a personal mail.
People on X: test xrandr --output
@ente76 thank you very much for very detailed response. After trying couple of solutions I'm now back on X (because of no screen sharing support in zoom and hot plugging to docking staion problems) and will keep checking wayland every couple of months.
I get mouse trails when I disable the extension regardless of brightness levels. When I enable the extension, mouse trails only appear at full brightness. Any fix for this possible? I'm left unable to remove or disable the extension. I'm preferring to use this script as it doesn't break screen shots when dimmed.
Same as others, Thinkpad X1 Yoga: I'm getting mouse trails. If I increase or decrease the brightness it clears them, but I had to disable the extension
