Project Description

World does not have enough skilled web3 developers. That is why web3 startups are not able to build the product and grow faster.

To solve this problem, we are building Luster, a proof-of-experience platform. We are filling the gap between demand and supply of web3 developers by conducting live training courses on various chains. We are also offering free education to web3 enthusiasts.

Using our PoE, even 15 year old web3 developer who has contributed to web3 community will be able to land a job as a web3 developer globally. We are replacing typical measurement of experience in years with skills and contribution in web3 community.

Value

We will create 1M+ web3 developers by 2025. We will teach them how to use Filecoin ecosystem. They will be supplied to web3 startups where they will be using Filecoin Ecosystem.

If we don't get this right, we would creating less number of web3 developers. This Grant will help us reach more people and survive for longer time.

Scaling for live training will be very difficult. To solve this, we are developing on-chain learning resources for web3 enthusiasts.

Development Roadmap

• Decentralized stack overflow & Portfolio - problem posting, solution posting, ether token used for incentivizing the developers. 4 members will be working on it. 1) 1 Frontend developer 2) 1 Backend developer 3) 1 Tech Lead 4) 1 Blockchain developer Around $5000 and 1 month will be required to complete this milestone.

• Free Certifications - developers can attempt certification exams at different seniority levels. These certificates will be added in portfolio. Web3 startups will be using these certificates to evaluate candidacy. 1) We need 4 people same as above. Around $10000 and 2 months will be required to complete this milestone.

• Milestone projects - Web3 enthusiasts will be developing the milestone projects to add into their portfolio to showcase the skills. 1) We need 6 members, 2 frontend, 2 backend, 1 Blockchain developer, 1 tech lead Around $10000 and 2 months will be required to complete this milestone.

• Job Portal - Web3 enthusiasts will be able to apply for jobs/internships. Web3 startups will be posting jobs/internships. 1) We need 4 members, 2 frontend, 1 backend, 1 tech lead Around $5000 and 1 months will be required to complete this milestone.

• DAOs open source projects - Web3 enthusiasts will be working on DAOs open source projects to add into their portfolio to showcase the skills. 1) We need 6 members, 2 frontend, 2 backend, 1 Blockchain developer, 1 tech lead Around $10000 and 2 months will be required to complete this milestone.

• 4000+ Web3 developers - We will train around 4000+ Web3 enthusiasts in 2023 through mini Bootcamps, Workshops, Education partnerships, etc. 1) We need 4 members - 1 Educator, 1 Mentor, 1 Community manager, 1 Operations manager. Around $10000 and 2 months will be required to complete this milestone.

Total Budget Requested

We need $50,000 in grant.

• We need $40,000 for the development of Proof-of-experience platform
• We need $10,000 for live training of 4000+ web3 enthusiasts in 2023.

Maintenance and Upgrade Plans

We will approach institutional investors for big funding round after building product-market-fit.
