Open Grant Proposal: DAOsign

Project Name: DAOsign

Proposal Category: Developer and data tooling, Applications

Individual or Entity Name: DAOSIGN, LLC. ILLINOIS LIMITED LIABILITY CORPORATION, USA

Proposer: TetianaRiabova

Do you agree to open source all work you do on behalf of this RFP under the MIT/Apache-2 dual-license?: Yes

Project Summary

DAOsign offers a decentralized, cryptographic solution that allows DAOs to create, sign, and verify agreements with authorized proofs-of-signature, ensuring the authenticity and integrity of their contracts. The problem we solve: Traditional methods of signing agreements, such as paper-based systems or legacy e-signatures, are prone to fraud and lack transparency, and offer no solution for verifying the signer's identity or authority to execute the agreement. Instead, these systems rely on costly legal proceedings to enforce agreements. Our solution: DAOsign combines proof-of-agreement, proof-of-signature, and proof of authority into a publicly verifiable cryptographic proof enabling secure, transparent, and automated processing of complex agreements and smart contracts.

Impact

DAOsign can be valuable for Filecoin, IPFS, or related ecosystems for several reasons. First, it can help facilitate secure and efficient transactions between DAOs and other entities in the ecosystem. Second, it can streamline decision-making processes for DAOs and provide a transparent record of agreements and transactions. Third, it can enhance trust and confidence in the ecosystem by ensuring that agreements are upheld and disputes are resolved fairly.

Getting DAOsign right can have several benefits. It can lead to increased adoption of Filecoin and IPFS by making transactions and decision-making processes more efficient and secure. It can also help build trust and confidence in the ecosystem by providing a transparent record of agreements and transactions.

The impact of our project will be felt across the entire Filecoin, IPFS, and related ecosystems. Success would mean that DAOs and other entities in the ecosystem can conduct transactions and make decisions more efficiently and securely, with greater transparency and trust. This could lead to increased adoption of the ecosystem and its technologies, which could in turn spur innovation and growth in various markets and verticals, such as decentralized storage, content distribution, and data management.

Outcomes

Our final outcome is launching a blockchain-stored and verified proofs version of DAOsign. Also, we are thinking about Snapshot integration. As for functionality, the main point will be successful agreement signing. We have our daily meetings with a team, where we discuss our progress, and once a week we have a demo call, where we measure the success of a project.

Adoption, Reach, and Growth Strategies

The target audience for DAOsign can include DAOs, blockchain-based projects, DeFi platforms, digital asset exchanges, and any entities involved in blockchain transactions and agreements. We consider a few ways of acquiring users such as:

  1. DAOs: first 1-3 months: contact all the DAOs that we or our partners personally know. first 2-4 months: contacting TOP100 DAOs. Starting from month 5: regularly check the new DAOs and contact them offering to use our product
  2. Startups: the same way as with DAOs
  3. Participating in the web3 conferences and promoting DAOsign there
  4. Organize side events/meetups for our potential target audience
