Project Summary

BlockAIDS - a decentralized electronic ecosystem on the blockchain, that allows millions of people living with HIV and key affected populations (drug users, LGBT, sex workers, etc.) to access their records, medicines, goods and services from any place in the world.

Impact

Please describe in more detail why this proposal is valuable for Filecoin, IPFS, or related ecosystems.

• We already have 50k active users in our Ecosystem, which we can move to your blockchain today. We want to move our electronic ecosystem on web3 and are looking now to partner with a powerful blockchain, capable of accepting millions of users.

What pain points does this project seek to address?

• Healthcare Systems Inefficiency Healthcare systems are plagued by inefficiencies, high costs, and data breaches. Patient data is also at risk of being stolen, misused, or lost. Currently, the money and resources provided globally by donor organizations serve more the interests of intermediaries (regional and country organizations) than of people living with HIV.

Lack of globalization

• Medical records are scattered across multiple systems, making it difficult for healthcare providers to access critical information quickly. Each country owns patients' medical records and personal data. Going to another country means a complete loss of data for patients.

Lack of transparency

• There is a lack of transparency and trust between patients, healthcare providers, and insurers. Data are not transparent (services & medicines consume). There are 3 layers of intermediaries (regional and country organizations) between donors / pharmaceutical companies and final beneficiaries.

Lack of anonymity

• There is no adequate protection for people living with HIV personal data. In short, the employees of service centers, local and regional organizations have access to personal data. As a result, we have stigma and exclusion faced by people living with HIV and marginalized populations.

• Currently, there is almost no properly working global software solution, developed to solve the problems of People Living with HIV and those from groups at risk (drug users, LGBT, sex workers, etc.).

What are the benefits of getting this right?

Building a decentralized electronic ecosystem on the blockchain, that allows millions of people living with HIV and key affected populations (drug users, LGBT, sex workers, etc.) to access their records, medicines, goods, and services from any place in the world.

What are the risks of not getting this right?

Our greatest risk is related to security. We are dealing with highly sensitive users' personal data. The risk is going to be mitigated through partnerships with solid organizations and solutions.

How will this project impact a specific vertical, market, or ecosystem? What does success look like?

Deliverables

We are building a decentralized electronic ecosystem on the blockchain that includes:

• Global EHR on blockchain, which allows people living with HIV and key affected populations to access their records, medicines, and services from any place in the world
• Mobile app, which allows people living with HIV and key affected populations to monitor their treatment, to receive services online (therapy, assistance, etc.), to be notified about important steps (analysis undergoing, taking pills, consulting doctor, etc.), to be rewarded for treatment compliance, etc.
• Decentralized IDs for people living with HIV and key affected populations, ensuring their self-ownership and anonymity
• Storage of non-personalized medical records on chain, to provide transparency to pharmaceutical companies, donors, and governments and ensure efficiency (research, treatments, procurement, etc.)
• DAO for people living with HIV and key affected populations
• Loyalty and Reward Electronic System - a platform designed to promote and incentivize healthy behaviors and preventive measures for individuals living with HIV and key affected populations

Success Measuring

Our User Acquisition plan for the next 5 Years:

• 1st Year (after development beginning) - 50k users (Users from Moldova, that we already have in our electronic ecosystem (see the link to the right from this cell)
• 2nd Year - 170k users (40% of PLHIV & Risk Groups users from 4 countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan. Kyrgyzstan) + Moldova)
• 3rd Year - 720k users (40% of PLHIV & Risk Groups users from 20 countries (EECA))
• 4th Year - 2.7m users (10% of PLHIV & Risk Groups users from 60 countries (EECA + part of Africa)

We have now in our ecosystem 19 service centers (physical locations that provide people living with HIV with medicines and services). Our electronic software counts 50k active users and over 1 mln transactions (medical records) only in Moldova. And we are building now a global electronic storage for 5 countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan) and more than 1 million of users. Our project is supported by international organizations from the UN family, such as UNAIDS. The strategy:

• We are going to add to blockchain our existing users (50k active users)
• Then we are going to expand our subnet gradually to other countries (people living with HIV and key affected populations) under the support of UNAIDS global organization.

Milestone 1 - Software Technical Task Documentation development

Milestone 3 - Loyalty and Reward Electronic System (LRES)

Description: We are building for our users (people living with HIV and those from groups at risk) the Loyalty and Reward Electronic System - a network designed to promote and incentivize healthy behaviors and preventive measures for individuals living with HIV as well as those from high-risk groups such as drug users, LGBT individuals, and sex workers. By utilizing a comprehensive range of rewards and benefits, the system aims to ensure that individuals engage in regular activities that contribute to their overall health, well-being, and the safety of others.
