Open Grant Proposal: Storage Aggregator | Files

Name of Project: Storage Aggregator | Files

Proposal Category: core-dev

Proposer: lk2684753

Do you agree to open source all work you do on behalf of this RFP and dual-license under MIT and APACHE2 licenses?: "Yes"

Project Description

An API for unified storage, billions of possibilities!

Storage Aggregator provides a unified storage API, making it easier to retrieve and store billions of blockchain data!

Storage Aggregator provides you with dozens of custom storage platforms and intelligent file retrieval services!

Storage Aggregator Personal Web3 Storage in a Decentralized Web!

The Storage Aggregator Network is a great decentralized storage network that allows anyone involved in storage to be rewarded fairly from the protocol! SA is built on decentralized web and provides a native cross-chain communication tray based on SCMP (Cross-Chain Message Passing), which is stored in the SA storage cloud through a unified data exchange API that is 100% compatible with Amazon S3 API and retrieve user data. This allows any project to use any AWS library or SDK and start using our system without extensive integration work.

NFT support

Designed for Defi

Hot and cold data

Full granular visibility

Supports multiple storage platforms

Use Case Marketplace

No-code solution

Primer conversion engine

Decentralized index query middleware

Value

The Storage Aggregator ecosystem has three types of nodes: file nodes provide file upload/download services, gateway nodes work directly with the decentralized cloud, and billing nodes calculate storage costs and charge users. Regarding storage fees, we use Storage Aggregator network tokens, Fil, USDC, etc. for transaction billing (per data storage/retrieval operation)

We have our own storage miner node. We need a large amount of real data storage to replace the 0 data encapsulated in the sector, and through the aggregator, we can obtain more real data to improve the computing power of the node.

Blockchain offers a new frontier of development for businesses, consumers and software developers. Due to its decentralized architecture, immutable ledger and highly secure framework, the application of this technology will impact industries from finance and retail to personal identity and cryptocurrencies. Storage Aggregator provides a unified API to store billions of blockchain data Bring convenience!

Deliverables

We will deliver the following software and documentation artifacts in the scope of this grant application.

Development Roadmap

This project will require a full 20 weeks to develop a full mainnet Beta. Cost basis is paid out in FIL token or stable coin.

Total Budget Requested

Due to the heavy workload, it is necessary to mobilize engineers in and out of the project to keep the progress in sync with the upstream storage platform progress, and the diverse skills required (12 people x month full-time GO/Rust/blockchain engineer/front-end engineer/product manager/UI design ), we are requesting a $145,000 Foundation grant. All funds will be used to cover personnel costs, including wages, taxes, insurance, benefits. The important thing is that we need to buy some machines to deploy the service and we are willing to pay part of the budget in FIL.

We can invoice based on completed milestones.

Total :$145,000

Maintenance and Upgrade Plans

Our team is committed to maintaining the maintenance, upgrade and operation of the Storage Aggregator network; in the later stage, based on user feedback, we will improve our project, and the team will open source and maintain the development code for at least three years.

Can you bring me up to date? I can update my proposal @ErinOCon

ErinOCon commented 2 years ago

Hi @lk2684753, I expect to have an update available by the end of this week. Thank you for checking in and for your patience!

HI @lk2684753, thank you for your proposal and for your patience as we completed our review. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to fund this project at this time. While it's great in its objective, we recommend focusing on one or two technology stacks (Filecoin and AWS for example) on the development roadmap. We’re happy to reconsider funding for the development of a POC with a stack of choice.
