1. What is your project? (max 100 words)

Nebullam is an indoor vertical farm big on data and sustainability. As a way to promote and support open data standards in the indoor farming industry, Nebullam has developed an open source energy tracking application and schema that serves as a proof of concept of how blockchain technology can be utilized to create an immutable record of energy usage for the analysis and study of environmental impact at scale.

3. How is IPFS, Filecoin, or related technology used in this project? (max 100 words)

How is IPFS, Filecoin, or related technology used in this project? (max 100 words)

The app uses IPFS for storing the open farm tracking data, There are 2 entry points to connect with IPFS layer.
 1. App can communicate with a given IPFS node and use it to upload data and pin it for more tech-savvy users.
 2. It also provides an option to connect a pinning service account, specifically Pinata, to upload data for users who don't want to interact with the IPFS node hosting.

Then the app uses a list of public IPFS gateways to fetch the data. After getting the data the app does some analysis and presents the data in charts making it easy to digest.

4. How will you improve your project with this grant? What steps will you take to meet this objective? (max 200 words)

  1. We want to standardize the data, including more possible variations so that it can easily accommodate new farms participating and their different data needs.

  2. We want to improve the analysis to be performed on the data to include more charts that will look into the data and provide additional useful metrics and charts.

  3. Polish the UI of the app to make it more robust and user-friendly.

5. Do you agree to share grant reports upon request, including a final grant report at the end of the three month period?

Yes

6. Does your proposal comply with our Community Code of Conduct?
