Currently we shutdown the targeted daemon prior to running an export as this makes things faster (weirdly). Without the shutdown calling ChainExport becomes very slow. Being able to turn this feature off will help use collect data to understanding the problem further, and when a possible fix is released in lotus we can easily test if things are working correctly.
