Description

Hi, I tried installing the current classic installer over another, older version that's gone now. After install failed, I uninstalled the older version. Now, there's nothing loaded. I receive the following error: "Install failed. Please contact your software vendor (0x80073CF9)" Hopefully, this is the correct picture:

Did you uninstall the old version?

Also have you install a unofficial/modified (EG. Disabled windows update, removed the Microsoft store, used a debloat program/script) version of Windows?

Yes. The old version is gone.

Windows is official. No hacks to the OS.

Can you try doing

  1. Opening PowerShell window as administrator
  2. Run this command Add-AppxPackage -AppInstallerFile https://cdn.files.community/files/stable/Files.Package.appinstaller
