Tried the powershell (as admin) method:

Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80070005, Access is denied. AppX Deployment operation failed with error 0x0 from API Logging data because access was denied for file: \?\C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsAppRuntime.1.5_5001.70.1338.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml, user SID: S-1-5-18 NOTE: For additional information, look for [ActivityId] 6008f623-798d-0001-c504-09608d79da01 in the Event Log or use the command line Get-AppPackageLog -ActivityID 6008f623-798d-0001-c504-09608d79da01 At line:1 char:1

Nope. But I'm now performing a Windows update, we'll see if that helps.

  • Are you using an unofficial (like Atlas OS or ReviOS etc.) or a modified (like disabled Windows update system, removed the Microsoft store, used a debloat program/script etc.) version of Windows?

Try installing this, then use the power shell command or installer again https://cdn.files.community/files/stable/Files.Package_3.3.0.0_Stable_Test/Dependencies/x64/Microsoft.WindowsAppRuntime.1.5.msix

bookface commented 6 months ago

That was it! Thanks!
