Function keys are annoying, there seem to be multiple encoding schemes in use
and it appears to be impossible to tell which one the target system expects. I
may need to add a dropdown to let the user choose from common sets.
What operating system is the target machine you're connected to, and what's the
value of the TERM variable there? (Type "echo $TERM" in the shell to see that.)
Can you try pressing DPAD_CENTER (next to the arrow left) + Digit instead? That
should send function keys through ConnectBot directly, with no special logic in
the keyboard.

Thanks for your quick response
In answer on your questions:
The $TERM variable returns screen.
The OS i use to connect to is ubuntu 11.10 server
Using the dpad_center + 0 works correctly and sends a F10
Using the dpad_center is a good alternative for using the virtual function
keys.
I have to say that the function keys used to work correctly upto two
versions ago (sorry can't remeber what version it was). The problem with
F10=F8 I had also with a linux based NAS, but that NAS is not operational
anymore.

Hi,
Forgot to make one more comment. Issue 104 i also have on my tablet running
android 3.2.
The $TERM value is from a connectbot ssh session on the target machine.

Bulk update - changing "Fixed" to "Verified" for old bugs.
(Background: I'm changing the "Fixed" status to be considered open, the next
steps in the lifecycle will be the closed states "FixInTest" and "Verified".
This lets me mark issues as "Fixed" in commit messages without hiding them from
the issue tracker.)
