Reset values only after a successful request is made #7

The changes made keep the sensor at the same state(s) until a successful request is made which should prevent sensor intermittently going unavailable.

Sorry I took over your work. You seemed to be MIA. I hope everything is well with you.

I haven't done any testing on the changes but it looks reasonable. You should know better than most if it works or not. :)

I'll go ahead and merge this.

My work? You're the one who came up with the idea and have been putting your time and effort into this, I'm just happy to lend a hand when I can. 😀

I tested it for a few weeks through a couple alerts and it seemed to be pretty stable.
