I'm not thinking about the categories these additions show up in, but then the default view is a single list with everything, alpha sorted. That will place two entries next to each other.
At the least, I think the sandbox could be merged into the existing entry for the product - plus its not really an example of using FDC3. The scorecard doesn't feel like either an example or training, nor a match for the other categories.
@kriswest I think clear rules and criteria would make sense since other companies have multiple entries, there are other vendor specific implementations listed, and other entries make marketing claims. Not to mention, there is an element of marketing in anyone listing anything.
Both the Sandbox and the Security Scorecard are free tools that offer resources addressing very specific interests/needs the community has raised. The Scorecard does not site vendors, focus on vendor-specific features, or rate vendors. The Sandbox is free, hosted, runs in a browser, and doesn't provide any functionality beyond FDC3. I know many firms who use vendor desktop container implementations and also use the Sandbox as part of their toolkit as well as firms who probably wouldn't have tried FDC3 at all if there wasn't a no-install and out of the box way to do it. If other firms have similar resources to offer I'm more than happy to see them listed as well.
@kriswest @robmoffat is there any update on this? Happy to make tweaks to the categories, but I'd like to know what the consensus is.
Apologies, I haven't had time to circle around to a number of action items as yet. The minutes for the maintainers meeting that covered it are in the fdc3-maintainers channel.
From memory there were two things to do: adjust the categories in the community page (i.e. the categories the page uses) to better separate demos and other content and to research common content guidelines (like avoid the use of superlatives - there are two other entries that do so already) and add some to either the comments in the page (seen when you hit the edit button) or somewhere else suitable, along with a content disclaimer (as FDC3 is publishing content that was written by others).
thanks @kriswest, these ideas make sense to have for the community page in general. What does it mean for this PR?
@nkolba apologies for the delay - I'll try and set aside an hour at the end of the day today or tomorrow to take a look at the categories again and disclaimer so that we can close this out ASAP. If I manage to get something worked out I'll tag you and Rob to review.
I sent a note about this PR on #1169 some time ago - it needs updating if you want to get it merged, otherwise there's nothing blocking it.
I've updated the category - can we merge this now?
Added entries for Interop Security Scorecard and FDC3 Sandbox.
