FINOS meetings involve participation by industry competitors, and it is the intention of FINOS and the Linux Foundation to conduct all of its activities in accordance with applicable antitrust and competition laws. The AI readiness group current follows Chatham House Rules, and as a result meetings will not publish formal minutes. The following is an outline of the topics we'll cover:
Welcome new members; re-iterate the aims of the group and approach - with an open conversations
Q: Are participants happy with meeting minutes being published on GitHub after internal review? The lack of visible minutes makes it hard for new joiners to catch up
The core team have a working session on 15th May, are there specific topics we should be covering?
One of the suggestions from our first call is that we assemble a body of knowledge relating to relevant regulations and existing frameworks, do we have any volunteers for that?

We had a brief recap of the AI readiness group's goals and ways of working
There was a discussion on meeting minutes, and our interpretation of Chatham House Rules. It was agreed within the meeting that minutes would be circulated on this email distro for a week, giving the opportunity to veto anything, ahead of publication on our public GitHub site
The group were updated on the plans to hold a meeting of the core team on the following day
There was a discussion around whether this group would create code assets, it was indicated that this is not a primary goal
There was a discussion around researching prior art, existing frameworks or guidance that might be relevant. Oleg volunteered to seed efforts.
Prachi asked about whether we had engaged regulators, and urged early engagement, which was widely agreed. Prachi is going to start exploring connections.
Finally, the core team met for a 4 hour workshop yesterday. This was a very productive session, thanks to ControlPlane for hosting us. We covered the following agenda items:
