Our goal is to mutually develop a governance framework that manages the on-boarding, development of, and running AI-based solutions within financial services organisations - allowing us all to unlock the potential of this disruptive technology in a safe, trustworthy and compliant way.
The AI readiness group is currently members-only, with meeting details shared via a private email list. To join the group, please contact membersuccess@finos.org.
FINOS meetings involve participation by industry competitors, and it is the intention of FINOS and the Linux Foundation to conduct all of its activities in accordance with applicable antitrust and competition laws. It is therefore extremely important that attendees adhere to meeting agendas, and be aware of, and not participate in, any activities that are prohibited under applicable US state, federal or foreign antitrust and competition laws. Please contact legal@finos.org with any questions.
FINOS project meetings may be recorded for use solely by the FINOS team for administration purposes. In very limited instances, and with explicit approval, recordings may be made more widely available.
Agenda and minutes
We had a walk-through of the current work-in-progress activities, and the materials within the ai-readiness-private repository
It was generally felt that model evaluation was out of scope.
Explainability was considered an important point, but will likely 'fall out' of the governance framework as a control
There was a general discussion about the value of providing advice and guidance alongside the more prescriptive framework.
Items of immediate priority were added to the project board
We discussed the 'core team' concept, and agreed to make this more informal, instead organising ourselves around the 'SIG meeting' and 'working sessions'.
There will be no hard requirements for being part of the core team, but active contribution is expected. Furthermore, companies should consider having multiple individuals involved in order to always ensure representation.
