I think Ctrl+W is more commonly used to mean "close current tab", e.g. in web browsers and notepad++.

I got your point but Ctrl+W was deleting the previous word in the previous version of kdb studio, and I got used to it.

Maybe there should be a keyboard customization feature then, with the defaults set to the most commonly used functions for the particular key.

Right - but quite a large change! I can live with Ctrl+W as is as I should get used to it.

I think we need keymap - mapping actions to hot keys. I'd like to add one some time in the future
