Meeting notices

Minutes

• The FINOS 2023 strategic initiatives were FDC3, open source readiness, Open RegTech (with Common Cloud Controls folded into this)
  • these initiatives are backed in various ways, including exec sponsorship, funding, marketing etc
• Gab is proposing that the board are taking a 'private equity' model for investing in strategic initiatives, with series A/B/C style investment decisions
• FDC3 was a strategic initiative early in its journey, this has had a big impact on where it is today
  • it was noted that it is not always easy to spot which projects are the correct investment, was it apparent when FDC3 was initially backed?
• Gab gave an overview of the initiative long-list
• The TOC expressed interest and commitment in helping make investment decisions
