I gather that firefly currently doesn't support anything like supplying UID and GID so that files written by firefly are owned by your preferred user. Currently they're all owned by www-data it seems. This is a bit of an exception amongst the containers I use, and it would be nice if it were possible to supply your preferred user.
Solution
Allow the user to supply a UID and GID so that files you might want to persist on the host are owned by your preferred user. I see it's been discussed before, but there's nothing open at the moment and I still think it would be nice to have.
