We've had some inconclusive discussion around font size, and I wanted to address it to help find consensus. First off, I grabbed the font sizing from a variety of applications that are relevant.

Atom Editor (windows) default font size:

Code view: 14px / 21px "Menlo"
Side bar: 12px / 24px "system-ui"

profiler.firefox.com

Call tree: 11px / 16px "message-box"

VS Code (windows)

UI text: 13px / 18.2 "Segoe WPC"
Code: 14px / 19px "Consolas"

Firefox DevTools (mac)

Console: 11px / 20px "message box"
Inspector markup: 11px / 16px "message box"

Google

Search result text: 14px / 22px "arial"

Chrome DevTools

I'm not sure how to inspect the devtools, it looks similar to Firefox.

Photon Web Spec

Body 30 - 17px "Fira Sans"
Body 20 - 15px "Fira Sans"
Body 10 - 13px "Fira Sans"
