Hello Team,

I know this page is created for only reporting issues and this question might not be expected if you are working with GitHUB.

Question : Can I use this IPSets in my organization ? Let me know whether it could have any restriction to use.

I could not find any policy for them.

as I understood

blocklist-ipsets is a part of firehol which is distributed by firehol so under GPL licence

by reading this They are freely available on the internet. The intention of their creators is to help internet security. Keep in mind though that a few of these lists may have special licences attached. Before using them, please check their source site for any information regarding proper use.

each list have their own licences which you should comply such as an example most of iblocklist will ask you to subscribe.

in an openSource perspective I'll say try theses lists find your sweet spots than donate/contribute to the list you plan to use in long term.

How did you manage to proceed with licences? Did you have to subscribe to some iblocklists in order to use their data? For example Shalla requires registration by contract. Thanks

Sometimes I use Nethserver so I manage the blocklist via their Threat shield other times (mainly for Debian/Ubuntu) I use this script From my understanding, if you are not purely reselling the list as it is, everything is fine.

I used lists with subscription years ago and with Windows, but the software was doing the job by itself. In Linux, with curl, you could authenticate yourself with a username password and/or use a session token https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12399087/curl-to-access-a-page-that-requires-a-login-from-a-different-page
