Issues with GPU0 #175

Alright so long post incoming.

I’ve been mining stable with my own complied build and everything was fine until about 9:30am yesterday when the GPU miner threw an error and wouldn’t restart, attempting to relaunch now with the previously running config.

I’m getting [CUDA] Error gpu 0: <C:/xmr-stak-dep/xmr-stak-nvidia-dev/nvcc_code/cuda_extra.cu>:229

I have to take my settings down to 11 blocks and 60-70 threads to have it work, but it’s working at 100h/s less then before.

Please let me know what else to provide

GTX 1080 FE is the GPU I’m currently running, I’ve got a second machine running a 1050ti that’s using the same build and hasn’t had the same issues at all

I’ve also tried downloading a fresh copy of the most recent release and used the first run config settings which still gavethe GPU error

Could someone provide the “recommended” settings for a 1080 FE?

We released a new version of the miner: https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak Please check if the issue still exists with the new version. If the problem is not fixed so far please open a new issue in the issue section of the new reposetory
