LLVM error...? Option 'limited-coverage-experimental' registered more than once! #1782

I get the above error when running xmr-stak as well as clinfo

Tried Googling but not find any xmr-stak related results.

Problem A is that gcc-8 is not supported, and may not work. I do know gcc-7 works, at least for the CPU parts, but the OpenCL or CUDA parts are very touchy about compilers. Use gcc-5.6 to gcc-6.4 for supported results. I also have good luck with clang-3.8 or clang-6

Problem B which you haven't hit yet but definitely will, is that the HD series will only work (correctly) with Ubuntu 14 with kernel downgraded to 3.2.0-126-generic and fglrx 13.152-0ubuntu1. Or whatever that driver runs on (some other 3.2.0 distro from a decade ago, when the HD cards were current) but easiest is Ubuntu 14.

Ignoring this driver limit and using anything newer will show hashrate and waste power, or only show 384M of memory, or other dumb bugs. Old driver is the only way HD series still works, yes newer drivers claim to support them, it is a lie

Oh and problem C is unless you have literally free electricity, your setup will cost you money to mine with.
