0 hashrate, no idea how to fix #1783

Please provide as much as possible information to reproduce the issue.

I previously fixed two errors with the MEMORY ALLOC FAILED: mmap failed by following the support doc here.

I am now running into a new problem where my hash rate is 0. I have tested the same cards on claymore's miner, which produces a hashrate around the average value of a vega 56, just to be sure it wasn't an issue with the cards, my drivers, or my instance of OpenCL. I believe the issue comes down to a line which appears after using ./xmr-stak while the program is running. It says that precompiled code is missing and then it compiles the code (output below). The pool also registers that I have connected and shows no hash rate

Issue with the execution

AMD OpenCl issue

I am adding this to make sure it is not an issue with my OpenCl instance. I do not believe this is an issue though. Be warned it is long run clinfo and add the output here

Stability issue

Self compile or downgrade to 17.50 Do not use AMD APP SDK whatsoever (uninstall it!) when compiling for 18.x+ or newer drivers.

I compiled from source using this command:

sudo cmake . -DCUDA_ENABLE=OFF -DOpenCL_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/include/CL

I checked the folder where the AMD APP SDK supposedly installs its binary files according to this thread and the only folders that are there are amdgpu, and amdgpu-pro. I dont know if these count as the APP SDK or not so that would be good info.

Also when using the 17.50 driver I could not get the cards to show up in clinfo at all, but that may have been my error when installing the drivers.

Closing this thread for now, I have not found a solution but have updated ubuntu to 18.04 (from 16.04) and am trying to work from there. Also never had the AMD App SDK installed

Ok I have gotten to the point again with ubuntu 18.04 with driver version 18.20, without AMD APP SDK, self compiled and am running into the same issue. Re-opening

I have heard there a problems with the 18.X driver. You must downgrade to 17.X I will have tomorrow a look if I can find the issue for the problems with the 18.X driver. Hopefully I can reproduce the issues.
