Slow mining - with 300h/s only 0.5 ETN a day #2255

Hi Guys,

Main thing which i´m trying to figure out couple last days is why I´m mining only a 0.5 ETN per day ?

My setup is gaming laptop levovo ideapad Y700 i7 6700HQ 16gb ram GTX 960M. I´just started mining and need some advices about it.

I use for mining CPU+GPU and I´m getting about 250-300h/s (peak times bit more), but that´s not what I have a problem with, because I can´t understand all these coment where miners are writting "I have hash rate 700h/s and get about 10-15coins a day or I have 1200h/s and get 60coins .... I´m like .. WHAT?!?!? even when I look at all other forums and try to find how much people are mining coins a day then it is more than 10times ..... and I want explenation. Is it because coments are 1y old and now mining slowed down drastically? or am I doing something wrong?

I´m mining on electroneum.hashvault.pro with port 5555 and algorythm cryptonight but changing algorythm doesn´t seems to be helpful at all. and also calculators on all differents websites are showing just about correct value how should I have at the end of the day (0.5ETN with this 300h/s)

BTW i have electroneum mobile app and I got for last 4-5 days (that´s how long I´m mining) nearly 6 ETN which is crazy compare to way more powerful laptop, I can´t understand it.

mining profits also depend on network hashrate (how many people are mining already) and block reward, for example with Monero, a year ago blocks were more than double the reward they're today (8XMR compared to 3.1XMR). Go find an online mining calculator, you should check there your expected return.

@kontass ETN changed its algo last year and since then only ASICs could have been used to mine it. It's useless to mine this coin with a GPU or a CPU as there won't be any profit - calculators are right.

The ETN mobile app is only simulated mining - they're just giving you ETN for running it so you can't base any real mining from it. Otherwise 300h/s is only going to get you about 0.5 ETN per day. If you see comments from others about getting more I would check the date of the comment. If its from this time last year or earlier then it could have been possible back then - not now. As others have noted the overall hashrate of the ETN network is many times greater currently, hence you earn much less per your hashrate.

Try mining another coin, as ETN is hard to make anything on.
