Crashes with cpu enabled, reports twice as many gpu over actual installed #2295

Please provide as much as possible information to reproduce the issue.

  run `clinfo` and add the output here

I attached a file, but it's not showing, I will paste it here. on the last line is where stak crashes, I set cpu to null and stak will run but with strange hash output. I will try and capture some of that.

output without the cpu enabled, tried to catch one of the weird errors it throws about an internal link error, but then it keeps mining.

Strange thing is, I installed 2.10.0 last night, did not start having these problems until this afternoon around 1pm eastern time.

yeah that's when the fork occurred Your drivers are failing to recompile-on-the-fly for CN-R (required feature) Previous to the fork on CN2v2 algo there was no on-the-fly recompilation.

Completely delete entire C:\Users\user\AppData\Local/.openclcache tree and try again from fresh. Possibly change drivers until it works.

What drivers?

Have deleted the .openclcache, installed the latest drivers for the HD 7870 cards, disabled cpu mining.
Still not able to get the amd rig running. Now stak crashes, (looks like it locks up), and minutes later windows reboots. Here is the latest errors;

Sorry I didn't catch it was an old HD7870, likely needs older driver, it is a Southern Islands (Pitcairn) which is GCN1. Older than Hawaii chip (GCN3) generally don't like the newer drivers, but not quite as bad as the HD5xxx (not even GCN, still old Terascale) series where Omega 15.x were the last workable compute drivers. Not sure which is best but I wouldn't go over 17.x probably, for GCN1 and 2. Adrenaline series has nothing to offer for a seven year old card, other than bugs and problems.

I may have it working, it ran all night with no crashes or errors that I can see. When I get back to it this afternoon I'll look at in depth.

What I did; deleted the openclcache again, installed the latest drivers, 25.10.xxx something, cut the intensity and blocks in half, turned on the auto tuning, set it to 10, not the 0 default.

And of course cpu mining is off, null, which is not a big deal as this old intel Pentium was only mining at 45 Hs anyway.

It started up with hash rate greatly reduced 500 Hs, about 1/3 of what it was before the fork. This morning when I checked it was almost back to before the fork. Before the fork it was a consistent 1.4 KHs, this morning it was 1.1KHs. I assume this is due to the auto tuning feature.

I checked both of my Nvida rigs and both are working fine, no errors and hash rate near the same as before the fork. But they are newer systems.

I have some older one off systems here at work I will install and test on them when I get time and see what happens.

Well it ran until 10:45 AM eastern time, then crashed. But I think it's due to the display driver stopping and restarting the old Windows TDR issue. it's the only error I can find in the event logs. I've never had that problem with this rig like I have with an Nvida rig. So I've started the batch file loop to restart on crash until I can figure it out. Maybe go back to older driver?
