FDS+Evac: FED Calculation #337

Closed gforney closed 9 years ago

gforney commented 9 years ago
Application Version: 5.1.6 Serial
SVN Revision Number: 1673
Compile Date: Sat, 10 May 2008
Operating System: Windows XP

Describe details of the issue below:

I don't understand, how the "FED dead human" calculated. In my example,
six agents have their FED value greater than one after 330 sec., but they
don't die.

I don't know whether it's a bug.

Hello Gregor,

I have just run evac_test_10.fds ,but in smokeview after 5 seconds the persons
dissapered. After that the case works without persons.

Hi!

The case seems to work as it should. The agents (PERS_ID='Female') on
the rooms "lower, 2nd from left" and "upper right room" are not moving
and change their color from GREEN to CYAN at about 325 s, i.e., when
their FDS > 1. (Use Avatar "human_altered_with_data" or "disc" and
Show ==> Humans ==> Human Color).

Note, that for females t_det = 360-600 s and t_pre = 200-300 s, i.e,
t_start_to_move = 560-900 s. This means that females are not moving
in the simulation, because they are dead before the should move.
(Well, I have simulated just about 450 s, the run is still running...)

There seems to be a bug in the output to the CHID_evac.csv file.
There the column "Fed/Counter/Deads" is zero all the time. It should
count the dead agents.

So it might be that "dead" females start to move towards the doors.
I will check this. It used to work some time ago, that dead humans
were not moving, but I haven't tested this feature lately.

Ciao,
TimoK

Well, I checked the example with:
Fire Dynamics Simulator
Compilation Date : Sat, 10 May 2008
Version : 5.1.6 Serial
SVN Revision No. : 1673

and it seems to work fine but the column "Deads" is not working
in the CHID_evac.csv file. I will correct this and submit changes
to the SVN system, so they will be included in the next FDS update
(probably 5.1.7 or so).

I corrected the output to the column "Deads" (CHID_evac.csv). Now it seems to
work:
Compilation Date : Fri, 16 May 2008
Version : 5.1.6 Serial
SVN Revision No. : 1702

I compiled the program myself, so there is not yet a compiled version on
the download page. So, if you do not want compile by yourself, you should
wait for the next maintenance executable for win32.

When ever you get the corrected program version, please check that the
code is working properly and and change the "Status" of this Issue to "Verified".
