Dear Tristan, the Application Template is the likely future for BlenderFDS. I am following that development and waiting for it to mature a little bit more. In the meantime, I am developing the Blender3 branch. On that branch I am working on MESH splits also, as you suggested sometime ago. The branch is still in development, so rather unstable, but improving day by day. And the new verification suite is really a game changer for achieving a previously unseen stability and dependability of the code. Best regards, Emanuele

Dear Emanuele,
Some of the functionality the Blender developers want to focus on for Blender 3.x in 2022 are Application Templates. I'm not sure if this is useful for BlenderFDS, I just thought I mention it:

Best and a happy new year, Tristan

Well, I tried the Application Template functionality, but there is a blocking issue still: https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/263596/new-application-template-how-to-set-is-as-default
We do not have application template yet, but I added in the preferences a new button that allows upgrading BlenderFDS to the latest version (even Master)
