Running FDS job not working on Linux #52

I have installed Blender (v4.1.1), FDS (v6.9.1) and BlenderFDS (v6.0.0) on PopOS. But when I hit run FDS withing Blender I just get a message "see the command prompt".

I checked the installtion of FDS and SMV and they are working correctly. I think I am missing something obious here.

Hi, did you set the default BlenderFDS settings?

Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, select the BlenderFDS addon preferences and click on the button settings. The external commands fields get populated.

These are the commands used by BlenderFDS to run external processes. You can also customize them.

Let me know if that works. Emanuele

Please, to debug your issue I need more info. Import the thouse5.fds FDS example case and try to run it. Send me some screenshots of the console.

Thats interesting, when i installed FDS i tried some example cases and they worked fine but now I get this

Yes, very likely. Try to save the thouse5.blend file in another directory (eg. /home/youruser/bf/thouse5/thouse.blend) And run it from there. Please, let me know.

it runs fine from another directory. So its definitely a permission issue.
