Hi there,

In step 3 of the quick start guide I'm getting the a "Unavailable Layer" error when trying to import the 'LC20_Elev_220' package into the layers (see below). As a results no greyscale US map is imported into the project workspace. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I started checking this issue. It seems that all Landfire data layers are currently down. Let me see.

I confirm it seems like a Landfire server error. Sometimes they are down for maintenance. Let's wait and see if it becomes available again.

In the mean time, you can download the data from https://www.landfire.gov/viewer/ on your local computer and use it in your qgis case. Just drag-and-drop the downloaded tif file into qgis to create a link to the data source.

I updated the Quickstart wiki page with this info as well, for future reference.

Excellent @emanuelegissi, thanks for the quick feedback. I'll keep an eye and see if the server comes back online, hopefully soon!
