Need admin perms to run every single time #85347

I have a work laptop that I use with 3 additional monitors, and LittleBigMouse is essential for comfortable usage. However, I'm unable to run programs as administrator due to strict company computer settings. The IT person tried changing some settings in the properties menu to make it so I could run it, but had no luck. Is there some reason that this program requires admin perms every single time it runs? Is there any way to make it so that isn't necessary so I can use it on my work laptop?

🐞 Problem Requiring admin permissions when running the program (if it's closed) requires admin permissions every single time, meaning I simply cannot use it at all on my work laptop. Not a bug, just a feature that would allow me to use the program on my work laptop.

🎯 Goal This change is important because I'd really like to be able to have the massive QOL improvement that this program provides on my work laptop setup, which consists of a landscape 1080 24.1", landscape 4k 31.5", portrait 1080 24.1", and a 4k 16" laptop screen, making a very messy mouse experience without LBM. This change would allow anyone else without the ability to run programs with admin perms would then be able to use this program.

Hi @PoisonPrincess I may not be of a big help here, but I can try to answer that question. I am student and my dad has admin control over my laptop and phone and there was this one time a program (Rufus) needed Admin rights to create a bootable USB. So the thing is that if a program need access to stuff (like in my case the hardware/USB), you need admin rights. Because once stuff gets to low level you need admin rights. But there could be other reasons, like the program isn't certified by Microsoft or something like that.

Hope I could help you
