Could you please consider this fork since youtube_dl maintenance is very slow and this one envelopes youtube_dl anyways https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp

I have provided a workaround for python2 which was published just now. So all you need to do is to update the addon. In case of problems/comments please open a new issue.
