In the settings for a file, you can specify whether Gedcom errors are displayed or suppressed. Gedcom-Errors

Nevertheless, Gedcom errors are still shown; Gedcom-error_hide_2

The variable HIDE_GEDCOM_ERRORS is only set to '1' if the errors are to be displayed, otherwise it is set to EMPTY (not NULL). But even a manually set '0' does not suppress the display of the errors.
