After some experiments, I was able to save a portion of the comment, but not the whole thing. It would appear that there is some limitation on the string length here that was not in v8
1) Please document the string length limitation 2) Expand to allow comments of at least 1000 characters 3) In general, the v10 needs something like the v8 comment editor window which allows useful comments with meaningful white space.
This observation about comments applies to the WHOLE WAweb interfaces. Wherever a comment is requested, there should be thousands of characters AND a practical (with white space) editor.
Comments in Defined Measures should be forwarded to Audit/Itemized Cost and then forwarded to Work Order Measure as in v8.
In v10 we have Itemized cost comments included in the printed recommended measures report but NOT carried forward from the Audit to the work order.
This issue includes multiple topics and recommendations. Unable to parse the specific items and relevant recommendation(s).
Comment field string length limit note added for consideration as a tool tip. Request for 1000 character string added for consideration.
Agreed... there are multiple issues here that should be broken up.
I will close this issue and open more focused issues.
Here is the original comment using the WA v8 comment editor:
That comment was copy/pasted into WA v10 and appears (not really readable as a single line):
When pressing the Apply button I get:
After deleting the comment, the Apply button works and saves the User Defined Health and Safety record change. Unable to save original comment from v8
In v8, these comments get forwarded into the itemized cost record (at last the first 256 characters) and become part of the work order which is provide a critical conduit for information to be communicated to the work order, thus critical priority.
