New Feature Request : L530 Bulbs #7

Thanks for all the hard work you and people have been putting in, im so happy i can use my bulbs with HA now.

Just wondering with the inclusion of the L510 bulbs could it be possible to extend this out to the L530 multicolor bulbs to allow them to have the color set within HA as well.

Thanks very much and happy to test or whatever is needed.

fishbigger commented 3 years ago

Adding support for L530 is in the plan. Someone else has written the code to control the colour and colour temperature of these bulbs so I can write the ha integration when I get the time :)

Reddevildragg commented 3 years ago

Im not sure on the feasonability of it/if code exists etc, but could also be nice to have the power usage readout for the devices. I only have bulbs but i know in the Tapo app they monitor how much wattage has been used. and i believe the plugs give you an indication on how much they are currently using/have used in the past.

arrival-spring commented 3 years ago

In terms of the power usage, in the details you can get from the lights, they report "on_time". I assume that the app then converts this to power usage. I'm not sure how it gets the last day, 7 days, 30 days though. It might be keeping a record separately.

So the basic function of l530 is operational?

arrival-spring commented 3 years ago

All fully working for me, yes.

Using HassIO with L530 - I can switch it on and off and adjust brightness - but colour change and temperature return a [custom_components.tapo_p100_control.light] Unable to set bulb properties HW Version 1.0 Firmware Version 1.1.9 Any ideas?

captainrex808 commented 3 years ago

I am also on firmware 1.1.9 and have the L530 working but without temperature or colour management. I am not seeing an error like spacecadetant but that is likely me not looking in the correct location to see the error.

ganeshran commented 3 years ago

Can confirm. I am able to switch L530 off and on but the brightness indicator is a bit iffy. It works at times and doesnt respond at others.

What code did you put in your HA or card to enable temp/color control?

HRoegiers commented 2 years ago

i didnt get any errors when integrating but i can't seem to find the light bulb anywhere, do you know how i could confirm that i intergrated correctly?

ne0c0de commented 2 years ago

Me too @HRoegiers, I purchased Tapo L530E today and just noticed that it's not officially suitable for home assistant, what a shame for tp-link brand...

wuppiwuppi commented 1 year ago

I can not even add it in HA. It is not auto-discovered - after entering its ip it tells me "failed to connect". I can not see any log entries related to this integration. Hardware: 2.0 Firemware: 1.0.9

pnx031 commented 1 year ago

Same issue as above. L530, no logs, no colour change. Only switch on and off

moonscapehk commented 1 year ago

Will a button to enable L530E party mode be available anytime soon?

y17dt commented 8 months ago

Still no color change for L530 here. Will it be available some day? It would be nice. Thanks
