I can confirm this issue. I was able to add two of my games to disk. One on the
first try (Wii Sports) and the other
on the second (MarioKart). Since then, every attempt hangs indefinitely;
sometimes on the "ok" button press, and
other times it makes it to "initializing drive" and then hangs.

I can confirm this issue. I was not able to add Super Mario Galaxy. I have
reverted to RC2 Update.

I also am having this issue, tried with Guitar Hero III, hung at 'OK' on
the 'Install New Game' screen.
RC3 on a 4.0U system, WD 500GB MyBook external drive (freshly formatted with
WBFS
Manager (x86))

When you run into this problem; please hold '2' (or '1' depends on your
build...) and
type the string at the top.
I'm really interested in which r### version you have

After rolling back to the download labled RC2Update I was able to back up games
successfully, but still had a
few issues on a couple tries. To get more information as per justin.hawkings
request, I reinstalled the current
featured download labled RC3Update. The entire string at the top of the screen
reads as follows: IOS249 rev
10 CoverFloader r426 RC3. Tried again to back up a game, this time it was Super
Mario Galaxy. CloverFloader
stopped responding at 'initializing drive.' when this happens all buttons on
the wiimote are useless (but the
wiimote is still on) and the only thing that can be done is holding down the
power button on the system itself.
As a side comment - after crashes happen, coverfloader can not open my usb
drive the next time i boot the
system up. i have to hook the drive up to a WBFS manager on a computer (either
mac or pc), then eject the
drive and plug it back into the Wii for it to be available again. Is there a
way where i won't have to do that?

Same result with the new download marked RC4. The string at the top of the
screen now reads 'r472 RC3.'

r482 is working well. had a hickup backing up a game where I ended up back in
the HBC. after that i've
successfully backed up about 5 games with no issue. Some cover box art is not
downloading, but i think that
might be due to the new changes with 3d art.

I have the same problem with the version that's downloadable atm (RC6). I tried
dumping Mario Kart Wii and it hung (started it last night, when I came back this
morning, it hung at about 49%). No reaction whatsoever from the WII on any
button.
Had to pull the power :(
